Synopsis
A Quiet Life (Una vita tranquilla, 2010) is an Italian crime drama you can watch online on iFILM. Rosario Russo runs a hotel restaurant somewhere in rural Germany. He has a wife, a steady routine and a name nobody questions.
Then two young Italians walk in one February afternoon, and the life he built collapses in a single conversation. One of them is the son Rosario abandoned years ago, back when he faked his death to escape the Camorra. Toni Servillo plays the father with barely a line of dialogue, letting silence do the work; Marco D'Amore is the young man who didn't come to forgive. There's a job involved, and asking about it is a mistake.
Director Claudio Cupellini skips the operatic gangster spectacle for something tighter and colder — a study of a man whose past keeps its own schedule. Servillo carries the film on restraint alone, while D'Amore, later the breakout face of the Gomorrah series, brings a quiet menace to every scene.
