Synopsis
Wishing Stairs (2003) is a Korean schoolgirl horror you can watch online on iFILM — the third film in the cult Whispering Corridors series, directed by Yun Jae-yeon. The staircase up to the ballet-school dormitory normally has 28 steps. Once in a while a 29th appears: the fox step. Make a wish on it and you get exactly what you asked for, granted in the cruelest way it can be.
So-hee and Jin-sung are best friends and rivals for the one spot in the company. When one of them stands on the step and wishes to win, the wish comes true — and the stairs start collecting their debt. Song Ji-hyo, Park Han-byul and Jo An play students whose friendship buckles under jealousy, hunger and guilt.
The scares come less from gore than from the suffocating world of a closed boarding school, where envy and loneliness cut deeper than any ghost.
