Synopsis
Saint Amour (2016) is a French-Belgian comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Every year Bruno works his way through the wine stands at the farm show without ever finishing the trail or stepping outside the gates.
This time his father proposes the real thing — an actual wine route across the French countryside, the two of them together. A quirky taxi driver named Mike takes the wheel, and the trio rolls from region to region, emptying one bottle after another. Along the way it turns out the deeper thirst isn't for wine at all, but for love and a little warmth.
Gérard Depardieu and Benoît Poelvoorde play father and son like two men who stayed silent for fifty years and finally started talking. Vincent Lacoste brings young cheek, Chiara Mastroianni a sudden melancholy. Delépine and Kervern hide a quiet story about loneliness and reconciliation under the drunken road trip.
