Early 1970s Italy. Mirco loses most of his sight in an accident and is transferred to a state boarding school for blind children — that was the law: kids with disabilities belonged in separate institutions. He finds an old reel-to-reel recorder gathering dust in a storeroom. What starts as tinkering becomes something else: capturing footsteps, rain against glass, the rhythms of the school's daily life. The film follows his discovery of sound not as compensation for blindness but as a world with its own depth and logic.
