Synopsis
Dancing with the Stars Season 11 — 20 episodes, watch online on iFILM. The fall 2010 run brought twelve celebrity pairs to the floor under the same judging panel of Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, and Carrie Ann Inaba, and packed in more format invention than any previous cycle.
Four themed weeks redrew the competition's shape: "Acoustic Week" moved the stage to an elevated circular floor with the audience pressed close, couples performing Rumba or Argentine Tango; "Rock n' Roll Week" added a marathon of Paso Doble and Tango; "TV Theme Week" gave the evening a different visual identity; "Instant Choreography" handed couples their music just 45 minutes before going live. The show's 200th episode brought back past fan favourites — Hélio Castroneves, Emmitt Smith, Gilles Marini, Kelly Osbourne, Mel B among them — as guest judges, scoring current pairs who recreated iconic routines from earlier seasons. Team captains for the group dances were Kristi Yamaguchi and Apolo Ohno.
Not one of the twelve professionals made their show debut this season — every dancer on the floor had competed in at least one prior edition. That collective fluency shows. Season 11 rewards watching in full: the format shifts come often enough to break the usual week-to-week rhythm, and the finale delivers on a season worth the build-up.
