The Elephant Whisperers

The Elephant Whisperers (2022) is a Netflix documentary short you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Kartiki Gonsalves, the 40-minute film follows Bomman and Bellie, a couple from Tamil Nadu's Mudumalai Tiger Reserve who take in an orphaned baby elephant named Raghu and raise him as their own.

There is no manufactured drama here — just daily life at the reserve: feeding, bathing, sleeping beside the animal as trust builds slowly between species. That restraint is the point.
