Synopsis
Sharpe's Enemy (1994) is an ITV TV movie you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Tom Clegg and adapted from Bernard Cornwell's Sharpe novel series.
Portugal, 1813. A rogue band of British, French and Portuguese deserters has taken over the village of Adrados, holding hostages. Sharpe (Sean Bean) is sent in carrying a ransom — one of the captives happens to be a woman from his past. The ransom is just the opening move, and what starts as a hostage exchange quickly expands into something that could collapse the Allied position entirely. Elizabeth Hurley and Helena Michell play the women caught at the center of it; Pete Postlethwaite is back.
No glamour here, no triumphant soundtrack crescendos. Just the weight of a campaign where every decision costs someone something. Stream Sharpe's Enemy online on iFILM.
