Synopsis
Chongqing Hot Pot (火锅英雄, 2016) — watch online on iFILM. Director Yang Qing built this Chinese crime comedy around one of the stranger premises of the year: three friends renovate a hot pot restaurant inside a repurposed bomb shelter and accidentally knock through the wall into a neighboring bank vault.
With Chen Kun, Bai Baihe, Qin Hao, and Yu Entai in the leads, the film tracks what happens when ordinary people stumble into an extraordinary moral dilemma. Should they take the money or call the police? The choice gets complicated when one of the bank's employees turns out to be a former classmate they have every reason to involve.
