Synopsis

Gang leader Egon Olsen tries to give up crime for a while, mostly to impress a pretty social welfare worker. Then American gangsters knock over the national bank and the police are sure it has Egon's fingerprints all over it. To clear his name he has to track down the real robbers himself — and slip right back into the trade he just swore off.
Ove Sprogøe plays Egon in every entry, all bowler hat, cigar and unshakable faith in the perfect plan. The Olsen Gang ran to fourteen films between 1968 and 1998, became something of a Danish institution, and spawned remakes in Norway and Sweden.
