Synopsis
Honeko Akabane's Bodyguards (2024) is a Japanese action-comedy with a romantic streak that you can watch online on iFILM. It's a live-action take on the hit manga, directed by Junichi Ishikawa. Ibuki Arakuni, a far-from-model high schooler, learns that his childhood friend has become a target for assassins.
Honeko Akabane attends the same Sosoji High and has no idea. Ibuki is handed a strange assignment: guard her for a full year, get her safely to graduation, and do it so well that she never realizes she's being protected. His secret double life as a school bodyguard kicks off fast — and Class 3-4 turns out to be hiding far more than one girl's safety. Tao Tsuchiya and Ryota Miura headline the cast.
