Synopsis
One Captain (Speravo de morì prima, 2021) is an Italian drama series you can watch online on iFILM, following Francesco Totti's final season at AS Roma and the retirement that devastated the city.
Pietro Castellitto plays Totti with unsettling accuracy — the posture, the press conference diplomacy, the quiet rage at being eased out of the club he spent a lifetime building. Director Luca Ribuoli keeps actual football offscreen. What fills the episodes instead are kitchen-table conversations, closed-door meetings, and the slow realization that loyalty to a club does not run in both directions.
