Synopsis
Mur-Mur (2021) is a Russian wartime detective series you can watch online on iFILM. It's 1944, and the small town of Muransk — only just freed from German occupation — is hit by a string of brazen robberies.
With the men away at the front, holding the streets falls to an all-female police squad the locals nickname "Mur-Mur." Maryana, Sasha, Agata and Oksana juggle housework and children, then clock in to chase the gang run by escaped repeat offender Yuza. The balance tips when Semyon Markov, a wounded officer discharged from the front, misses his train and lands right in the middle of it.
Directed by Ilya Kazankov, the series leans on a rarely-told angle: women doing a job everyone assumed belonged to men, with their own families on the line. Anastasia Obzhigina, Svetlana Ivanova and Vladimir Yaglych lead the cast. Stream Mur-Mur (2021) online on iFILM.
