16+Synopsis
Novogodniy perepolokh (2012) is a Russian holiday comedy you can watch online on iFILM. A sleepy provincial town is drifting through the last days of the old year as usual. Then a young, charming con artist named Garik rolls into town, and the quiet routine turns upside down overnight. Felix Gerchikov directs, with Daniil Spivakovsky and Maria Poroshina up front.
Garik wants a quick payday, so he pulls in everyone within reach: the Shishkin family, their coworkers, assorted relatives, and a few unlucky bystanders. Father Frost and the Snow Maiden get dragged in too, and so, improbably, does a live ostrich that wanders into the chaos. What starts as festive mischief slowly swells into a full-blown scam, and untangling it before the chimes strike midnight proves a tall order. Sergei Chirkov, Galina Petrova, and Evgeny Voskresensky join the ensemble.
