Synopsis
Big House (2023) is a Cold War spy drama you can watch online on iFILM. Leningrad, 1965. KGB lieutenant colonel Mikhail Shirokov gets word that an old enemy has surfaced in the city — Alexander Stroganov, codename Graf, a wartime saboteur who once served German intelligence. Years earlier Graf slipped the net. The trail is warm again.
Shirokov starts checking every Stroganov living in Leningrad, and suspicion settles on a quiet cinema projectionist. The man and his wife Laura, it turns out, were planted in the USSR by American intelligence with one goal: snatch a leading nuclear physicist and smuggle him out of the country. Shirokov's team picks apart a network stitched from White Guard remnants and a mole inside the militia. The cast is led by Vitaly Kishchenko, Boris Khvoshnyansky and Artur Vakha.
Directed by Egor Konchalovsky, this is a patient period thriller that trusts logic over chases and soaks in the gray, watchful mood of 1960s Leningrad. Worth it if you like counterintelligence stories where the real fight is quiet. Stream Big House (2023) online on iFILM.
