The Third of September (Season 1)

The Third of September (2024) is a Russian comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Vitya is about to marry Masha, the love of his life — and the night before the wedding he goes way too hard with his friends.

He wakes up with zero memory of the night, and his bride takes one look at the wreckage and walks out. Desperate, Vitya begs fate for a do-over of his wedding day — and opens his eyes back on the same September 3rd. The day starts looping, and winning Masha back means living it over and over, fixing one mistake at a time.

The title nods to the famous Mikhail Shufutinsky song about that exact date, and the singer himself shows up on screen. Felix Gerchikov directs, with Pavel Rassomakhin and Alexander Kolesnikov in the cast. An easy watch if you like Groundhog Day rebuilt in a very Russian key.
