Synopsis
Curious Varvara (2024) is a Russian family mystery series you can watch online on iFILM. Ten-year-old Varya Smorodina devours books on criminology and dreams of becoming a great detective like her grandfather. Whenever a puzzle appears, she has one favorite word for it: "Curious!"
Sent to spend the summer with her grandparents in the village of Verkhovoy, Varya discovers the sleepy place is hiding plenty. Odd thefts, noises after dark, and a scarecrow that seems to come alive at night and terrifies the local kids. She takes on every case alongside a new friend — Vasya, a good-natured village boy who is happy to follow her lead. Polina Aynutdinova plays the young sleuth.
