Synopsis
Abnormal (2024) is a Russian tragicomedy you can watch online on iFILM. In the children's ward, the bandaged girl gets called Mummy — and over two brutal months, Anya has to grow up fast.
Before the crash she was a pretty, self-assured schoolgirl. After it, she's a guarded, sharp-tongued creature who'll snap even at the people trying to help her. Anya clings to the hospital and keeps inventing tricks to stay, because she now has a target: the man who caused the accident that killed her parents lies in a coma just down the hall. To reach him, she pulls together a crew of fellow misfit patients.
Slowly it dawns on her that revenge is no cure, and the show shifts from pitch-black comedy into an honest look at grief. Taisiya Igumentseva directs, with Varvara Volodina in the lead.
