Mountainhead

Mountainhead (2025) is a satirical drama-comedy you can watch online on iFILM, written and directed by Jesse Armstrong, the creator of Succession. Four billionaire tech founders hole up in a luxury ski chalet while a global financial crisis unrolls outside. They are there to decide what to do next. The problem is what they have already done.

It turns out their platforms — the algorithms, the monetized outrage, the hands-off moderation — helped cause the crash they are now sipping whisky over. "This started with us," one of them says. Steve Carell and Jason Schwartzman head a cast that Armstrong deploys with precision: each character has just enough self-awareness to see the trap and not quite enough to escape it.
