Esther's Comet

Esther's Comet (2027) is an animated fantasy-thriller you can watch online on iFILM, blurring dreams and detective mystery in equal measure. Writer-director Zane Foyle also stars, building the film around a man who can't tell his sleep from his waking life.

In his dreams, Anthony is a villager with a good life: he helps neighbors, makes real friends, keeps a routine worth envying. Then his long-lost biological parents show up in one of those dreams, and he goes digging through his own subconscious to reach them. The search pulls him past the edge of his dreamworld into something closer to an astral plane, a place with no clear way back.

Seth Foyle, Riley Prendergast and Marcy Palmer round out the cast alongside Foyle himself. It's an animated feature with an oddly adult nerve to it, less about comet or spectacle than about what it costs to chase your own origins.
