Synopsis
The Elder Eagle (2026) is a Russian family comedy you can watch online now. An old man is the last resident left in his mountain village — everyone else moved out years ago, and local officials have their own plans for his land. To fight back, he tricks his son and grandchildren into leaving Moscow and coming home, claiming he just needs help around the house.
What he actually wants is bigger: turn the abandoned village into an eco-tourism spot before officials can seize it. Pavel Derevyanko, Nadezhda Mikhalkova, and Alik Karaev as the stubborn old man himself carry a story that's less about slapstick than about a family remembering what they used to be to each other. Director Murad Nogmov keeps the tone gentle rather than loud, aiming at people who miss comedies that are warm without turning saccharine.
