Synopsis

A card-playing bachelor rolls into a California Gold Rush town and unexpectedly ends up the guardian of three orphaned kids. When the youngsters stumble onto an enormous gold nugget, the whole town wants a piece of it. Two of the clumsiest outlaws in the West sign on to help, and what follows is a string of chases, double-crosses and gloriously botched schemes.
It's old-fashioned, no-stakes fun where nobody really gets hurt and Knotts and Conway bumble around hard enough to crack up the grown-ups too.
