Synopsis
The Trip (I onde dager, 2021) is Tommy Wirkola's Norwegian horror-comedy you can watch online on iFILM. A married couple drives out to a lakeside cabin, supposedly to repair their relationship. In truth, each one plans to murder the other.
Lars and Lisa have hated each other for years. He's packed a gun; she's brought sleeping pills and a saw. Both are just waiting for the right moment. Then, before either can strike, three escaped convicts crash through the door, and the spouses are forced into a shaky truce against a threat far worse than their own scheming. Noomi Rapace and Aksel Hennie clearly relish playing this poisonous pair.
Wirkola directs the way fans of his Dead Snow films expect: buckets of blood, sharp dialogue, and violence cranked so high it loops back around to funny. Squeamish viewers should sit this one out. Everyone else gets a nasty, unpredictable splatter farce. Stream The Trip (2021) online on iFILM.
