Synopsis
Adulthood (2008) is Noel Clarke's British crime drama, available to watch online on iFILM. It picks up after Kidulthood: Sam Peel leaves prison having served six years for killing his schoolmate Trife.
Freedom isn't a fresh start — it's the same estate, the same drugs and beefs, the same streets where he wrecked everything in the first place. The difference is that Sam now walks them looking over his shoulder. Trife's people haven't let it go, and their revenge is already in motion. He has roughly one day to break from his past before that past catches him first. Clarke directs and stars, surrounding himself with Danny Dyer, Adam Deacon and musician Plan B.
Where the first film watched a victim, this one fixes its camera on the person who caused the harm and asks whether that can ever be paid back. It's jagged, low-light London realism from the late 2000s, with no romance about the violence and no tidy moral handed to you. Stream Adulthood (2008) online on iFILM.
