The Major, meanwhile, works to recruit ace sniper Saito and undercover cop Paz, assembling the squad that will become Public Security Section 9. The two crews don't trust each other yet, and it shows.

Directed by Kazuchika Kise and Atsushi Takeuchi, this reboot of Masamune Shirow's franchise leans more on procedural hacking cases than the heady monologues of the feature films, with Maaya Sakamoto voicing Kusanagi.
