Land

Land (2021) is a quiet survival drama you can watch online on iFILM. Edee — played and directed by Robin Wright — has cut herself off from everything after an unspecified loss too heavy to carry in the world she knew. She retreats to a remote Wyoming cabin with almost no survival skills and barely enough food to last a month.

The wilderness nearly finishes her off before Miguel (Demián Bichir), a local hunter, finds her half-frozen and nurses her back. He teaches her to hunt, trap, and read the land. Neither of them talks much about what brought them to this place — and the film is smart enough not to force it.

Wright the director leans hard on landscape: the Rockies absorb as much screen time as the two leads, and that is entirely the point. If you've seen Wild or Nomadland and wanted something even more stripped back, this is your film. Stream Land (2021) online on iFILM.
