Ranking of Kings (Ōsama Ranking, 2021) is a WIT Studio anime you can watch online on iFILM. In a world that literally ranks its kings by strength and wealth, the heir to one great throne is Prince Bojji — a small boy who is deaf, cannot speak, and is too weak to lift even a toy sword.

The court treats him as a mistake and quietly grooms his younger brother for the crown. What Bojji has is stubbornness and a single friend: Kage, a shadow creature from an underground clan who first means to rob him and then can't walk away. Together they set off to learn how to fight, how to rule, and who at the palace is an enemy hiding behind a smile. The show sheds its fairy-tale surface fast and turns to betrayal, a parent's love, and the gap between being weak and being kind.

The art is deliberately childlike, almost a picture book, which makes the dark turns land twice as hard.
