Synopsis
Watch Strike (2017) Season 4 online on iFILM — four episodes of the BBC crime drama drawn from the novel Lethal White. It opens when Billy, a frightened and unwell young man, walks into the Denmark Street office convinced he watched a child being killed years ago.
The lead is thin and the witness unreliable, yet Cormoran Strike and Robin Ellacott take the case. It carries them well past their usual London backstreets — into a guarded corner of Parliament, toward the blackmail of a government minister, and out to a handsome country manor that hides something rotten. The further they dig, the clearer it becomes that someone badly wants Billy's story buried.
A second thread runs underneath: the partners themselves. After Robin's wedding to Matthew, a cold distance sits between detective and assistant, and sharing an office has turned awkward. This season is longer and slower than the last, heavier on politics and on things left unsaid. Tom Burke and Holliday Grainger carry it in the pauses — in what the two never quite admit.
