Texas Rising (2015) is an American historical miniseries you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Roland Joffé. Bill Paxton, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Brendan Fraser and Ray Liotta lead a large cast through the 1835–1836 fight for Texan independence.

The Alamo has fallen. What's left is Sam Houston pulling scattered volunteers into something resembling an army and marching toward a final confrontation with Santa Anna at San Jacinto. Out of that campaign comes the first shape of the Texas Rangers — men tasked with patrolling a territory that wasn't a country yet and couldn't afford to wait for one.
