A gang of outlaws rides through an Indian Nation settlement, kills Reverend Goodnight, and steals a cache of nitroglycerine. Eula refuses to file a report and wait — she finds Cogburn and insists on joining the hunt. He objects loudly, repeatedly, and without success.
