Synopsis
Scanners III: The Takeover (1992) is a sci-fi action horror you can watch online on iFILM. It's the third chapter of the Canadian franchise about scanners — people whose telepathy runs so hot they can crack open a mind, and a skull, with a single stare.
After a death he blames himself for, Alex Monet retreats to a Tibetan monastery to find some peace. While he's gone, his sister Helen swallows one of their father's experimental drugs and turns from a gifted telepath into a cold killing machine. Her scheme is simple and chilling: seize control of television, and through it the will of millions. Liliana Komorowska plays Helen with icy relish, while Steve Parrish carries the conscience she has thrown away. Alex has to come home and stand against his own blood.
Director Christian Duguay doesn't ration the exploding heads or the body-horror the series is known for. This is a straight-up nineties genre sequel — no pretensions, plenty of push.
