Fresh Off the Boat (2015) is an ABC sitcom you can watch online on iFILM, based on chef and TV personality Eddie Huang's memoir about growing up Taiwanese-American in 1990s Orlando. Twelve-year-old Eddie is obsessed with hip-hop and rap at a time when his classmates have never heard of either. His father Louis, played by Randall Park, is a relentless optimist who greets every customer with a handshake and insists his sons speak English at home. His mother Jessica, played by Constance Wu, runs the household accounts with a spreadsheet and views American suburban customs as an ongoing series of baffling personal affronts. The tension between their two worldviews is where most of the comedy lives — and it rarely lets up.
