Synopsis
For a Good Time, Call... (2012) is a raunchy New York comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Jamie Travis, the film follows Lauren (Lauren Miller Rogen) and Katie (Ari Graynor) — two women who have despised each other since college and are now, thanks to a series of bad luck events, sharing an apartment in Manhattan.
Katie runs a phone sex line from the bedroom. Lauren stumbles onto this fact and, rather than running, spots a business model. The two reluctant roommates become reluctant business partners — and somewhere in the calls, the spreadsheets and the late nights, a real friendship forms. Seth Rogen, Justin Long and Kevin Smith turn up in small roles that lean into the joke.
The film works because Miller Rogen and Graynor play the friction as genuinely earned rather than manufactured — their discomfort around each other is funny precisely because it's specific.
