Synopsis
V: The Final Battle (1984) is the sci-fi miniseries you can watch online on iFILM. Picking up where the cult original left off, it follows the war against the Visitors — alien "friends" who look human but are reptiles underneath, and who already run the planet.
A ragtag resistance wages guerrilla war against an enemy with starships, firepower and a stranglehold on the airwaves. Helping them are scientists, alien defectors, even the daughter of one of the Visitors. Marc Singer and Faye Grant lead the fight, Jane Badler plays the ice-cold Diana, Michael Ironside swaggers in as a mercenary, and a young Robert Englund — soon to be Freddy Krueger — turns up too.
This is peak '80s lizard-alien television: rodent-swallowing villains, a controversial "star child" birth, and a none-too-subtle anti-fascist streak under the rubber masks. Dated now, sure, but its cliffhanger had the whole country talking that spring. One for fans of vintage TV sci-fi. Stream V: The Final Battle online on iFILM.
