Kompromat

Kompromat (2022) is a French thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Gilles Lellouche plays Mathieu, a French cultural institute representative in Irkutsk who is arrested in the middle of the night — no warning, no lawyer, and a charge so severe it immediately dismantles his life: the alleged sexual abuse of his own daughter.

Mathieu quickly understands he was not chosen at random. Someone used the FSB to manufacture the case against him, and the machinery of a foreign legal system does the rest. He is cut off from the consulate, surrounded by people who have already made up their minds, and facing evidence that was designed to be unanswerable. The only exit is across the country he cannot legally leave.
