Skylab

Le Skylab (2011) is a French family comedy you can watch online on iFILM, written and directed by Julie Delpy — a warm, unhurried portrait of a summer in Brittany filtered through a child's unblinking gaze.

It is 1979, and ten-year-old Albertine watches her sprawling extended family arrive at her grandmother's house for a birthday weekend. Every meal turns into an argument, every argument becomes a political speech, and her left-wing Parisian parents hold court at both ends of the table. There is also a first crush, too much wine, and a low-level shared dread: the NASA Skylab space station is reportedly tumbling out of orbit, and nobody knows where it will land.
