Synopsis

Alan Bender is reckoned the finest hostage negotiator in all of Mexico, and now the case of his life lands on him. The country's president has been kidnapped along with the woman he loves, and the abductor sets one rule: he will only talk to Alan, nobody else. The catch is that Alan's own marriage is falling apart at the same time, so he ends up mediating two collapses at once — one political, one painfully personal.
The film blends taut thriller beats with broad comic timing and keeps things lean at 85 minutes. It works best for viewers who like their action movies a little self-aware and quick on their feet.
