Synopsis
A Cock and Bull Story (2005) is a film about the impossibility of filming a book, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Michael Winterbottom takes on Laurence Sterne's "unfilmable" 18th-century novel and shoots a movie about the shoot itself.
Steve Coogan plays himself, plays Tristram, and plays Tristram's father, all while bickering with co-star Rob Brydon over screen time and wig size. As egos flare on set, the novel's tale of a hapless gentleman keeps drowning in footnotes, digressions and backstage squabbles. Keeley Hawes, Shirley Henderson, Kelly Macdonald and Naomie Harris fill out the ensemble.
