Synopsis
Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo (1984) is a dance musical drama from Sam Firstenberg, and you can watch it online on iFILM. The sequel to that year's surprise hit brings back Kelly, Ozone and Turbo — the street crew from Los Angeles.
This time the fight isn't a dance battle but a city block: a greedy developer wants to bulldoze the neighborhood youth center and drop a shopping mall in its place. To raise the money and save the place that raised them, the crew throws one enormous show. Dance carries the whole thing — popping, locking, electric boogaloo, and that upside-down number danced on a wall that fans rewound for years.
Lucinda Dickey, Adolfo "Shabba-Doo" Quinones and Michael "Boogaloo Shrimp" Chambers do the moves for real, with a young Ice-T turning up in a bit part. The plot is thin, but the energy and choreography are the genuine article — pure mid-80s, back when breaking was leaping off the sidewalk and onto the screen. The title became a punchline about sequels; the film deserves better. Stream Breakin' 2 (1984) online on iFILM.
