Synopsis
The Vultures (Les Morfalous, 1984) is Henri Verneuil's war comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Tunisia, April 1943: a thinned-out Foreign Legion squad is ordered to haul a bank's gold bars across the desert toward the front.
Sergeant Augagneur (Jean-Paul Belmondo) does the math fast — the bullion is worth more than any oath to France. Warrant officer Mahuzard (Michel Constantin) keeps playing it by the book. Add a banker with a scheming wife (Marie Laforêt), a captured German lieutenant and a long road south, and loyalties start trading hands as often as the gold itself.
Verneuil mixes firefights with crude barracks humor, and Belmondo coasts on the roguish charm that made him a French box-office fixture. It's for anyone who likes old-school Gallic adventure with no lecture attached, where greed is at least honest about itself. Stream The Vultures (1984) online on iFILM.
