Angelique

Angélique (Angélique, marquise des anges, 1964) is a French historical adventure you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Bernard Borderie — the first of five films adapted from the novels by Anne and Serge Golon.

Michèle Mercier plays Angélique, a penniless noblewoman married off to the wealthy and scarred Count Joffrey de Peyrac, played by Robert Hossein. The match starts cold and grows into something real — until Louis XIV notices her, the count gets arrested, and Angélique is left to fight her own way across seventeenth-century France.
