Synopsis
I... for Icarus (I… comme Icare, 1979) is Henri Verneuil's French political thriller, available to watch online on iFILM, with Yves Montand as the one prosecutor who won't let an assassination be buried.
President Marc Jarry is gunned down in front of a crowd. The official commission settles on a lone shooter and stands ready to sign its report. The parallels to the Kennedy case and the Warren Commission are deliberate — Verneuil lifts that American template onto an unnamed country and follows it all the way down.
