Greed in the Sun

Greed in the Sun (1964) is a French-Italian adventure you can watch online, directed by Henri Verneuil. The setup is lean: a North African trucking outfit, a rig loaded with $100,000 in contraband, and a driver who decides it should be his.

Rocco (Lino Ventura) steals the truck and points it toward the desert. His own colleague Marec, played by a young, devil-may-care Jean-Paul Belmondo, is sent to drag him back. From there it is two heavy trucks grinding across the Sahara dunes, the heat doing as much damage as the gunplay. Gert Fröbe, soon to be Goldfinger, lends some menace to the comedy.
