The Inbetweeners 2 (2014) is the second feature film from the beloved British sitcom, directed by Damon Beesley and Iain Morris — watch it online on iFILM. Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas are all back, and they've been at it long enough that the film trusts the audience to be on the same wavelength immediately.

Jay has sent texts from Australia that sound incredible: a social life, women, the works. His mates back in England are stuck in the post-school slump and jump at the invitation. The reality — Jay scrubbing plates in a hostel, inventing the stories in real time — lands exactly as expected and is funnier for it. The four pile into a terrible car and attempt a road trip across Australia. Will lobbies hard for something cultural. The others want pubs. Simon, as ever, complicates his own life the moment an opportunity to do so appears.

Beesley and Morris don't let the bigger budget make the characters any less reliably awful to themselves and each other.
