Synopsis
Ignorance Is Bliss (Beata ignoranza, 2017) is an Italian comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Two former best friends, now high-school teachers, land in the same staff room — and the grudge they never settled flares right back up.
Filippo lives on his phone: stories, likes, a steady stream of flirting on social media, and students who adore him. Ernesto is his exact opposite, clinging to a first-generation handset, chalk on a blackboard and a flat refusal to go online. A young woman named Nina talks them into a bet — Filippo has to unplug, Ernesto has to dive in. Neither swap goes the way they expect.
Marco Giallini and Alessandro Gassmann carry the whole thing as a pair of stubborn opposites, and director Massimiliano Bruno keeps the offline-versus-online argument funny instead of preachy.
