Matthias quits his job in Germany and arrives back in his Transylvanian village a few days before Christmas. His young son has gone silent after something in the forest. His father is getting old alone. His ex-lover Csilla runs a small food factory. When Csilla hires workers from Sri Lanka, the community that seemed to coexist peacefully comes apart at speed — which tells you the peace was always a surface.
