Synopsis
The Hidden Child (Il bambino nascosto, 2021) is an Italian drama you can watch online on iFILM. Gabriele Santoro teaches piano at a Naples conservatory and lives alone in a working-class corner of the city.
One morning, while he steps away to rinse the shaving foam off his face, a ten-year-old named Ciro — a boy from the top floor of his building — slips inside and hides. The maestro doesn't notice his stowaway until deep in the night. Ciro won't say why he ran. Even so, on instinct, Gabriele decides to keep him out of sight, which means standing in the way of the people the child is fleeing. A quiet flat with a grand piano becomes a hiding place held together by an unspoken deal: you stay, I keep silent.
