Synopsis
My Friends Act III (Amici miei — Atto III°, 1985) is an Italian comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Director Nanni Loy closes out the beloved trilogy that Pietro Germi launched in 1975, reuniting four incorrigible pranksters — Necchi, Meandri, Mascetti and Sassaroli — for one last round. Age has not mellowed them. It has merely given them new targets.
When Mascetti, played by Ugo Tognazzi, lands in a geriatric clinic, his friends treat the institution as a purpose-built stage. Patients, staff, and fellow visitors all get drawn into increasingly elaborate schemes, culminating in a farewell prank of particular ambition. Gastone Moschin, Adolfo Celi and Renzo Montagnani complete the quartet. The humour is blunt and deliberately old-fashioned — no softening of edges for modern sensibilities — and that's precisely why it still lands. Bernard Blier rounds out the cast in a supporting role.
