Phantom

Phantom (2023) is a South Korean spy thriller you can watch online on iFILM. The year is 1933, Korea is under Japanese occupation, and the authorities are convinced that a contact for the anti-Japanese resistance — codenamed the Phantom — is hiding inside the colonial administration. Five suspects are hauled off to an isolated seaside hotel and locked in until the truth comes out.

Each of them has one day to prove their innocence or expose the real spy. Suspicion, lies and quiet panic build inside the sealed walls while the audience is kept guessing right up to the end about who wears the mask. Director Lee Hae-young lets the chamber-piece puzzle detonate into a full-blown action film in its back half. The cast features Sol Kyung-gu, Lee Hanee and Park Hae-soo, familiar from Squid Game.
