Synopsis
Boxing Helena (1993) is a disturbing romantic thriller you can watch online on iFILM. It marks the directorial debut of Jennifer Lynch, daughter of David Lynch. Surgeon Nick Cavanaugh (Julian Sands) is consumed by Helena (Sherilyn Fenn), a woman who once turned him down cold.
After a car accident leaves Helena badly hurt outside his mansion, Nick takes her in and refuses to let her go. What follows is a warped fairy tale about possession, where one man rebuilds a relationship entirely on his own terms. Bill Paxton and Art Garfunkel show up in supporting roles.
The production was almost as notorious as the film. Madonna walked first, then Kim Basinger, who was later sued for breaking her contract.
