Wide Load

Wide Load (Convoi exceptionnel, 2019) is an absurdist French comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Two strangers cross paths on a sidewalk: Foster, who moves too fast, and Taupin, a big man who drags his feet.

Then the floor drops out. They start to suspect every line they speak was written in advance — including the page where they die. Gérard Depardieu and Christian Clavier turn this walk-and-talk into a slow duel with fate itself. Director Bertrand Blier, never one for tidy stories, uses a chance encounter to needle the whole notion of free will.
